Larry, Glenda, Patti, Russ and I, mom and dad celebrated dad's birthday Saturday. The evening got off to a good start with mom feasting on a dozen oysters on the half shell. She may not have much of an appetite anymore but she sure downed those suckers! While she 'recovered' in bed, the rest of us enjoyed ribs and steaks Patti grilled, baked potatoes and salad. After we ate we all piled into mom's room for a birthday toast. Mom even sipped a bit of the bubbley. As you can see in the picture, we got a visit from a birthday gnome. He had such a fun time he's decided to take up residence at 701. He knows a good place when he sees one! And a good time was had by all............we cherish the good times--and this definitely was one of them!
Happy Birthday to my old friend and it is wonderful to see a smile on Ilo's face again. That smile reminds me of the one she had when she played golf with Mac and me and beat both of us.Good to see you all happy and I send my love, as does Granny.
